Wangkhei Phee

[edit]
  • ... that Wangkhei Phee, a fabric woven by women of Manipur, is made of fine white cotton yarn with a closely-woven texture and is totally transparent?

  • Article is new and long enough with 2,871 chars at nomination time. It is neutral, and cites sources inline. "Earwig's Copyvio Detector" reports zero copyvio issue. Hook is well-formatted and interesting. Its length is within limit. Hook's fact is cited inline. QPQ was done.
    • Following one issue needs to be resolved: Error in the article's section "Product details" §4 regarding "method of production": Source says fly shuttle produces a single piece, and the throw shuttle two pieces but the article notes vice versa.
  • For my personal interest only: Is "wedding" meant with "marriage" in the text? CeeGee 15:54, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
  • ALT1: ... that Wangkhei Phee, a "luxurious" cloth woven of fine white cotton yarn, is popularly worn by the women of Manipur for marriage ceremonies and festivals? Yoninah (talk) 15:58, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
  • CeeGee Thanks for the review. Sorry about the error. I have corrected it in the text. Yoninah, your ALT1 hook suggestion is fine with me. Thanks.Nvvchar. 07:58, 23 May 2016 (UTC)
  • Error is fixed. Everything is OK now. Good to go. I prefer the original hook. CeeGee 09:35, 23 May 2016 (UTC)
  • @CeeGee: the source doesn't say anything about it being woven by the women of Manipur, just that women wear it. Yoninah (talk) 23:08, 23 May 2016 (UTC)
  • Passes definitely. @Yoninah: Ref #1 says it under "F) Description of the goods:" §3 as "It is a fine variety and close-knitted texture of the weft and the warp woven by female weavers". Please recheck. CeeGee 05:02, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
  • @CeeGee: You're right. I was looking for "women", not "female". Yoninah (talk) 10:03, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
  • No problem. It could have happened to me also. Cheers. CeeGee 10:06, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
