Great article. It is new/long enough, hook it cited (I verified) the offline source, article has reliable sources, no copyright violations, is neutral, thorough, and is ripe for promotion. Below are three questions/issues I want to bring up:
- 1: QPQ is needed
- 2: I verified Blanco's book source and the text does say Mexican dolllars. Should it be Mexican "pesos" instead? Or is "Mexican dollars" something else other than pesos? From my understanding, Mexican currency is "peso" since the 19th century. This can be fixed with a single change in the hook, but I wanted to get your opinion on it first.
- 3 per WP:LEADCITE, the word "status quo" is unsourced since it is not found anywhere else below. I read the Aftermath section. Should we change the wording a bit in the first sentence to include this? Just make sure the sources support it. MX (✉ • ✎) 16:23, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
- @MX: Thanks for the review. I have added the QPQ. I regard to the peso-dollar problem: As far as I understand it Mexican dollars and pesos are one and the same, but I thought that since the source calls them "Mexican dollars" in this context, it would be best to keep it that way. In regard to #3, I have changed to lede, as "status quo" was indeed too inaccurate. Applodion (talk) 18:47, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
