Warren Gulley

[edit]
ALT-1 ... that Richard Nixon once allegedly described the office of United States Secretary of the Navy as "a job anyone can do ... why we even had John Warner in that job"?

Article is fine. However the references for the hook are paywalled and do not seem neutral. Please consider improving the sources. Jupitus Smart 10:19, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
Jupiter - here are the direct links to the references for Alt-1 [1] and Alt-2 [2]. Please let me know if you're still having trouble accessing them. Thanks for the review! DarjeelingTea (talk) 10:42, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
DarjeelingTea,I actually did not review the ALT-2 hook (This is my first DYK review. Sorry for that). But I did go through the ALT-1 hook before and on searching at [3] for Warren Gulley, Google Books is not returning any relevant hits - [4]. Please do check and let me know if I am doing it wrong. ALT-2 is good to go, but please consider rechecking the reference for ALT-1. Jupitus Smart 11:14, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
No need to apologize! It's on page 10 of the book link. DarjeelingTea (talk) 13:03, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
Note - I've struck the last few words of Alt-1 to ensure the hook is sufficiently NPOV. (I wasn't aware John Warner was still with us when I submitted it.) DarjeelingTea (talk) 16:43, 18 February 2017 (UTC)
Although not entirely clear which hook was approved, before promoting I have checked the original hook, and the other hook is a bit too much of an Easter egg. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 07:11, 4 March 2017 (UTC)
