Washington State University School of Medicine[edit]

  • This article is new enough and long enough. The article is neutral and I did not detect any copyright issues, but I do not think the hook satisfactory. The 1917 law authorised UW to award degrees in medicine but did not prohibit any other university from doing so as far as I can see from the source provided. If the 1917 statute actually prohibited the setting up of another medical college, you will need a better source to support that statement. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:50, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
  • In addition, the hook, at 237 characters (spaces are included in the count) is too long. The maximum at DYK is 200 characters for single-article hooks. BlueMoonset (talk) 15:22, 3 October 2015 (UTC)
Cwmhiraeth, I've added a source that references a "1917 law that grants it [Univ of Washington] the sole authority to offer medical education." LavaBaron (talk) 18:13, 4 October 2015 (UTC)
  • That's fine! I have tweaked ALT1 and it is still a few characters over 200, but I think allowance should be made for the fact that the article's title is rather long. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 20:09, 4 October 2015 (UTC)
