Wendy Sue Swanson

Wendy Sue Swanson

  • ... that Wendy Sue Swanson (pictured), with her innovation group, Digital Health, developed the Virtual Handshake?
  • ALT1: ... that Wendy Sue Swanson (pictured), the Seattle Mama Doc, won the CDC's first Childhood Immunization Champion Award in 2012?

Created by SojoQ (talk). Self-nominated at 18:44, 21 April 2015 (UTC).

  • Created on April 20, excellent sourcing, plenty long. The hooks are both a good length. The first hook needs a citation in the article for the sentence which makes that claim. The ALT1 hook has a citation, and is interesting. The first hook is interesting, too, but I think the ALT1 is more interesting. The source for ALT1 supports the hook. The sentence in the article which supports this hook, however, is almost word-for-word the same as the sentence in the source cited. This should be changed.
  • The image is awaiting verification through OTRS. I'm a member of the OTRS team, but I can't find any tickets for this. Who sent the email to OTRS? What was the subject line of the message? What email address was it sent from? You are welcome to email me personally if you don't want to post that info here. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 01:15, 29 April 2015 (UTC)
  • Thanks so much for your review and the issues you raise. The citation for the first hook is from the same citation as at the end of the paragraph. I can add that to the end of the sentence. I will also rewrite the sentence in the article that refers to ALT1. I will send a private message with the image information you requested. SojoQ (talk) 09:56, 29 April 2015 (UTC)
  • I reworked the text and added the citation. Does that fix the issues? SojoQ (talk) 10:12, 29 April 2015 (UTC)
  • I tracked down the person who uploaded the image, but apparently there is a problem getting permission. The company who has the image gave permission, but the photographer (who owns the copyright) hasn't given the ok yet. I can delete the image, if needed. It would be a shame not to have at least one image of Swanson on the page if the page is nominated. I'm working to track down an alternative image. I will let you know as soon as this issue is resolved. SojoQ (talk) 15:40, 29 April 2015 (UTC)
  • I was able to obtain a new image and replaced the old image with it. Please let me know if there are any more adjustments needed. I don't have a strong preference for the hook - please use whichever you think is more compelling. SojoQ (talk) 19:17, 29 April 2015 (UTC)
