William Gould Young
[edit]- ... that William Gould Young was the first faculty member at UCLA to be inducted into the National Academy of Sciences, and that their chemistry building was renamed in his honor?
- ALT1:... that UCLA faculty member William Gould Young used his Priestley Medal address to discuss the changing landscape of post-World War II chemical education?

- Fixed as requested, SL93, and many thanks for the review. Can't wait to see it on the front page! Tarselli (talk) 13:58, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Tarselli: I found more problems. I can't find anything in the Education section under the second reference. Two sentences under Research need citations. The Administration section sentence does not appear in reference 2. I don't see the section Personal life in the 6th reference at all. Some of the awards need citations. - I was looking at your ref formatting fix and it switched out your old reference with a different one. SL93 (talk) 17:24, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hi SL93 - Thanks for checking - I have ensured all awards now have citations, added in one more reference in personal life (Refs 1 and 2 are both oral histories of Young). The sentences in Research do not need to be individually cited; Ref 3 is a series of (33!) papers that wraps up Young's entire line of research in the allyl cation space. Finally, I have pointed the ref to the correct pdf on the UCLA History page, thanks for catching! Tarselli (talk) 19:13, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
