William Hung (sinologist)

[edit]

William Hung

  • ... that when William Hung (pictured) learned that Harvard professor Langdon Warner was removing murals from Dunhuang, he made sure that Warner was never left alone at any historic site?

  • I see you've been working on this for a good long while - it shows! I hope you'll look at taking this on to GA status in the future. As far as the DYK rules are concerned, the timing, length and article content are fine; the only slight niggle is that there are two unsourced paragraphs (at the ends of the Family and education and After the war sections); per DYKAR#D2 there ought to be a citation for each paragraph. The picture is PD and tagged as such, and is in the article. There appears to be no copyright violation in the text. The hook is interesting and just inside the length requirements, but the citation appears at the end of the paragraph, not at the end of the hook sentence, as required by Wikipedia:Did_you_know#Eligibility_criteria#3b. QPQ is done.
All you need to do is add citations to the two unsourced paragraphs and move or replicate reference 11 at the end of the sentence beginning, Knowing that Warner was a key negotiator...", and this can go ahead. Yunshui  12:14, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for the quick work and encouraging words, Yunshui. I made the suggested changes, and went on to a few more improvements, so you may find that it's now ready. Cheers. ch (talk) 01:12, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
It's a goer, let's get it on the Main Page. Yunshui  19:16, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
