  • @KAVEBEAR: This article was moved into mainspace at the time this was nominated, so newness is fine. I will check the article now. It is very well-written and may take me some time to read through. epicgenius (talk) 20:57, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
  • The hook would be better if for instance, we explained the relation to the queen's overthrow. The original hook is 188 characters long so I had to remove Joseph Nāwahī from this proposed hook, so it's fine if you don't like it. I just want to try this out though:
  • I cut a lot from the original, though. If ALT1 doesn't work, we should go with the original. I am tentatively approving ALT0. epicgenius (talk) 21:31, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
  • The problem with ALT1 is that the award was made before the overthrow not afterward; a deposed monarch couldn't award the honor. And I rather include Nawahi in the hook since it is his birthday this month as well. Also because of another similar hook on January 17 for the overthrow, I am trying not to promote one with the overthrow. --KAVEBEAR (talk) 22:10, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
  • I see your point. I guess we are all set to go with Alt 0 then. epicgenius (talk) 00:56, 10 January 2017 (UTC)
