dedicated article on excellent sources. Minor tweak: insert the name he is known by
ALT1: ... that Willie "Pappy" Stokes was the only caddie that Jack Burke, Jr. ever asked for advice throughout his entire professional career in golf? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:12, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
I think it should stay as Willie Stokes. A DYK rule is to confuse the reader, and they might think that Willie Stokes refers to the mob boss of the same name. Beerest355 Talk 15:28, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
I agree that "Pappy" should be included. I don't know why I didn't include it in the hook. Thank you Gerda Arendt for a diligent review. :) John Cline (talk) 15:46, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
Well, don't forget this quote from WP:How to write the perfect "Did you know" hook: "Masking the name of the article can work perfectly if it might confuse people. For example, the hook, "... that James Brown flew an F-22 Raptor and survived a fuel leak while traveling at almost the speed of sound?" works because they are going to think of the Godfather of Soul James Brown, not James E. Brown III, a civilian test pilot." Beerest355 Talk 16:28, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
