  • ... that the developers of Wipeout 2048 speculated that they influenced the design of the PlayStation Vita console (pictured) itself, including the idea of having two separate analogue sticks?[1]

  • Article is a new GA, long enough, and passes policy checks on neutrality, sourcing, and plagiarism. Hook is barely under the 200-character limit and could be trimmed; it is in the article, but not cited (as it's in the lead) and does not appear to be fully cited in the body (only a partial). QPQ was completed. SounderBruce 01:38, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
  • @SounderBruce: thanks for checking! The hook is in the conception section of the article: ...a group was formed to brainstorm hardware details; proposals included a touchscreen device, not yet conceived by Sony. Eggleton speculated that the console was released with two sticks solely because "Studio Liverpool said it needed two sticks", and the citation is directly after it. I'm not sure how it is partially sourced as it's the only source which states that the development of Wipeout 2048 influenced the decision to include the rear touchscreen and two analogue sticks? • The wording was a bit too different from the hook (which insists that the additions were influenced by the game, while the prose says it was speculation, and the source says it was speculation/theoretical and that the touchscreen was there before the studio was contacted). The hook needs to include the speculative nature of the claim. SounderBruce 23:50, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
  • Thanks for clarifying, SounderBruce. I've adjusted that the hook to confirm the speculative nature that the developers thought the console ended up two sticks because "Studio Liverpool said it needed two sticks", and the source does point out that the touchscreen may have already been conceived by Sony, so I cut that out. • Looks good now. Hook is ready to go. SounderBruce 23:15, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
