Woodburn Bank Bombing[edit]

  • ... that a father and son received the death penalty for the Woodburn Bank Bombing which accidentally killed two policemen?

  • not a review I have bolded the articles. Surely "accidental" is the wrong word? If it was accidental then no one would have been convicted. You might accidentally tread on the enemies land mine, but you were not killed accidentally. Victuallers (talk) 17:42, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
The prosecution stated the bomb was set off by a stray signal, perhaps from a passing vehicle, the defense stated it was set off because it was being hit and pried open by an officer trying to defuse the device. The bomb had also been moved by the police prior to detonation. Despite the verdict no one contended anyone was killed intentionally. A land-mine is placed with the intention of detonating in the presence of an enemy. CitiCat 22:20, 26 December 2015 (UTC)
  • New by date, certainly long enough, within policy. I think given the above discussion, the Alt1 hook makes that clearer, so I would recommend that one, and it is certainly interesting. Submitter still within free QPQs. 1bandsaw (talk) 06:43, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
