Woody (Toy Story)

  • ... that Woody from Toy Story was originally going to be a ventriloquist dummy and the main villain of the film? Source: [1][2]
    • ALT1: ... that Woody from Toy Story was voiced by Tom Hanks and was voiced by his brother Jim Hanks when Tom could not voice him? Source: [3]
    • Comment: This is its second DYK nomination as the first time it did not pass the criteria

  • QPQ not needed. I like the main hook, which passes. With regards to ALT1, is it not more accurate that T. Hanks thought himself too busy to do some more hours in the recording booth for non-film purposes? Might be better to have an ALT1 that's like "when asked to voice Woody for video games, Tom Hanks said 'get my brother Jim, he'll do it.'"? In any case, this shouldn't preclude the promotion of the main hook. Sceptre (talk) 00:43, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
@Sceptre: Question. When will this go on the main page and will I get a notification?
