The nominator is advised to pay closer attention to the five days old limit in the future, as this article was placed in the wrong queue and submitted almost a day after the limit. Image license checks out, but I'm having trouble verifying the hook through Google Translate (I've discussed the issue on the nom's talk page). I realize that you're rounding the age of the village, but the sources specify that it is under eight centuries. I'm not sure we should be rounding up in our hooks. It might be better to specify the historical time like at least one source, and say the village was built during the Southern Song Dynasty. In any case, I couldn't confirm that the town holds an ancestor worshiping festival every year, and it's not clear if this is or is not the same Lunar New Year festival held on March 3. One source says "New Leaf Village is the largest Yip village inhabited by 780 over the years has been to retain the old system of worship...Lunar month, each year, new leaf village will hold a grand worship ceremony",[1] which I assume is what you are referring to. The worship ceremony is obviously the ancestor worship ceremony. Is the ancestral festival called the "Double Third"? It seems like it would be so much easier to just have an ALT hook that says "...Xinye Village was designated a National Historic and Cultural Village due to its relics from the Southern Song Dynasty?" Of course, that would need to be verified as well, but I believe it is already sourced. I'm not against the current hook, but I would like more information to confirm. - Thanks for the review. Since Google translation is having so much trouble with the original text, I've made a new hook and moved the original hook to ALT1. The new hook is directly supported by an English-language article from CNN. I've left the age at eight centuries for now, as I feel mentioning the exact age of 793 years (the sohu.com article says the village was founded in 1219) is a bit too precise, but feel free to change it if you feel the precision is needed. As for Song Dynasty, I'm afraid most readers are not familiar enough with it to realize how old it was. --Zanhe (talk) 22:03, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

- To me that sounds too short and conveys too little information. And it's a village, not an actual museum. I've now deleted the middle part from the hook, and it shouldn't be a mouthful any more. --Zanhe (talk) 01:38, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
