Yoko Kawahara

  • Article nominated within seven days, neutrally and encyclopedically written, more than 1,500 body characters, definitely a summary of real sources. AGF on offline sources for part of the hook. Google Translate useful for others. My only concerns are about two of the wikilinks. The link of text "voice of the forest bird" to the article Jahrhundertring is potentially confusing for newcomers, although the connection is explained well in the Yoko Kawahara article. This is probably best remedied by making sure the phrase "forest bird" appears next to "Waldvogel" in the Jahrhundertring article. Similarly, clicking on "Green Neighbour" leads to an article which doesn't mention the phrase "Green Neighbour". Although the connection is there, it won't help someone who doesn't already know the topic. Either the wikilink should go elsewhere (to a stub for the opera, as suggested) or the Udo Zimmermann article should say something about the characters in his opera. I emphasise that there is nothing wrong with the hook or the article by themselves—they're great work!—but I'd like the wikilinks to be less confusing before recommending promotion. Thank you for looking! - Sorry I forgot about wanting to create an article on the opera. Easiest way: drop that part. Or wait, I'm on vacation.
ALT1: ... that Yoko Kawahara was the voice of the forest bird in the Jahrhundertring, and was the first to perform the soprano solo in Reger's fragment of the Dies irae? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:26, 11 May 2016 (UTC)
The ALT1 hook is an improvement, and fixes my concerns about the clarity of wikilinks. Given that the article is a pass in every other respect, I am happy to pass this hook. Thank you Gerda and I hope you enjoy your holiday. MartinPoulter (talk) 14:35, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
