General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems

Hook eligibility:

  • Cited: Yes
  • Interesting: No - The original hook and ALT1 are not unusual for musical groups, although I would say ALT2 passes as something reasonably interesting/unusual.

Image eligibility:

  • Freely licensed: No - I don't think a screenshot from a YouTube video counts as freely licensed. This may need to be removed from the article.
  • Used in article: Yes
  • Clear at 100px: No - Fairly low quality
QPQ: None required.

Overall: Direct quotes flagged by Earwig have been attributed, so no problems there. ALT2 is the hook I'd go with. May need to remove the image from the article due to questionable licensing. This is my first DYK review, so would appreciate another pair of eyes on this review, especially around image licensing. pinktoebeans (talk) 17:25, 28 August 2023 (UTC)

@Pinktoebeans: Thank you for the review! I agree with you that ALT2 is more interesting. In that case, the photo is irrelevant and won't be needed. Since the YouTube video was released under a Creative Commons license, I believe the screenshot would be considered "free". ⇒ Luminous Person (talk) 20:23, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
@Luminous Person: Thanks for the clarification, I'm happy the image meets licensing requirements now and can be used in the article, although not in this DYK hook. In my opinion (would still like a second opinion though), we are good to go with ALT2. I used to be really into Seventeen, so I'll be very happy to see this on the front page! pinktoebeans (talk) 21:31, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
