near-Earth object[edit]

  • ... that the search for near-Earth asteroids large enough to cause a global catastrophe is almost complete, and efforts now focus on smaller asteroids?
    • ALT1:... that among near-Earth objects, those travelling in orbits most similar to Earth's are unlikely to ever hit Earth?
