2009 onwards

[edit]

Here is a reference that the next example will reuse.[1]

Euro NCAP test results
Ford Transit Custom (2011)
Test Points %
Overall:
Adult occupant: 30 84%
Child occupant: 44 90%
Pedestrian: 14 48%
Safety assist: 5 71%

The code for 2009 onwards tests (including safety assist)

{{Euro NCAP |year=2011 |overall_stars=5 |description=Ford Transit Custom |reference_name=ref2011 |adult_points=30 |adult_percent=84 |child_points=44 |child_percent=90 |pedestrian_points=14 |pedestrian_percent=48 |safety_points=5 |safety_percent=71 |align=right}}
Euro NCAP test results
Nissan Leaf (2011)[2]
Test Points %
Overall:
Adult occupant: 32 89%
Child occupant: 40 83%
Pedestrian: 23 65%
Safety assist: 6 84%

For 2009 onwards, you may use the Euro NCAP's reference code (usually a 3 digit number) instead of a full reference. The template will generate a full reference for you, complete with a link to the datasheet at euroncap.com, title (based on the description parameter), and the year of the test. If the 'reference_name' param is not supplied then the template will also generate a name so that you can use <ref name=EuroNCAPxxx/> where xxx is the Euro NCAP's reference code) in other places in the article. E.g.

{{Euro NCAP |year=2011 |overall_stars=5 |description=Nissan Leaf |reference_name=EuroNCAP |reference_code=432 |adult_points=32 |adult_percent=89 |child_points=40 |child_percent=83 |pedestrian_points=23 |pedestrian_percent=65 |safety_points=6 |safety_percent=84 |align=right}}

You can find the reference code by first finding the car on Euro NCAP's website. If you look at the URL it should look similar to http://www.euroncap.com/files/432_datasheet.pdf" . The number in the middle is the reference code, for this car it is 432.

2004–2008

[edit]
Euro NCAP test results
a sample car (2007)[3]
Test Score Rating
Adult occupant: 37
Child occupant: 27
Pedestrian: 17

For pre 2009 tests (without safety assist), specify the star parameters.

{{Euro NCAP |year=2007 |description=a sample car |reference=Reference created by the template for 2007 |reference_name=ref2007 |adult_stars=5 |adult_score=37 |child_stars=3 |child_score=27 |pedestrian_stars=1 |pedestrian_score=17 |align=right}}

For pre 2009, you may give the URL of Euro NCAP's web page instead of a full reference. The template will generate a full reference for you, complete with a link to the web page at euroncap.com, title (based on the description parameter), and the year of the test. If the 'reference_name' parameter is not supplied then the template will also generate a name so that you can use <ref name=EuroNCAPxxxx/> where xxxx is the year of the test) in other places in the article.

Here is a reference created by the template that gets reused.[3]

1997–2003

[edit]
Euro NCAP test results
Toyota Corolla (1998)[4]
Test Score Rating
Adult occupant: 23
Pedestrian: 15

Very early tests (before 2004) can omit the child scores.

{{Euro NCAP |year=1998 |description=Toyota Corolla |reference_url=http://www.euroncap.com/tests/toyota_corolla_1998/43.aspx |reference_name=ref1998 |adult_stars=3 |adult_score=23 |pedestrian_stars=2 |pedestrian_score=15 |align=right}}

Another use of 1998 reference.[4]
