Template:IOF displays an external link to an athlete's page at the International Orienteering Federation (IOF) website. It is intended for use in the external links section of an article.

Usage[edit]

Unnamed parameters: {{IOF | ID }}; {{IOF | ID | NAME }}

Named parameters: {{IOF | id= ID }}; {{IOF | id= ID | name= NAME }}

Using Wikidata property P3672: {{IOF}}; {{IOF | name= NAME }}

Instructions[edit]

Search for an athlete at the IOF Eventor website.
Click on the correct link to go to the athlete's page
The page URL should look like

https://eventor.orienteering.org/Athletes/Details/nnnnn

where "nnnnn" indicates the ID number for a specific athlete.

This template displays an external link to an athlete's page at the International Orienteering Federation (IOF) website. It is intended for use in the external links section of an article.

Template parameters
Parameter		Description	Type	Status
id	`id` `1`	The "id" parameter (or unnamed parameter "1") should contain the ID portion of the URL. Example: 65 is the ID portion of https://eventor.orienteering.org/Athletes/Details/65. This parameter is optional if Wikidata property P3672 exists, but required if not. Default Wikidata property P3672	Number	optional
name	`name` `2`	The "name" parameter (or unnamed parameter "2") may be used to specify the link text, which should be the name of the athlete. This parameter is optional; it defaults to the Wikipedia article name, without any disambiguation such as "(orienteer)". Default {{PAGENAMEBASE}}	String	optional
