Infobox amateur wrestler may be used to summarize the main statistics info about an amateur wrestler.

Parameters

Parameter Explanation
name The wrestler's name.
image An image of the person. Only the file name is required, such as example.jpg or sample.png. It is not necessary to use File: before the name or to wikilink the image. If no image is available, do not use an image placeholder.
image_size A size in pixels to display the image, such as 200px (width), x300px (height), or 200x300px (max width and height). Use only when absolutely necessary. If empty or omitted, frameless is used to display the image at the default thumbnail size (normally 220px, but logged in users may change this at Preferences: Appearance).
alt Alternative text for image, for visually impaired readers (see WP:ALT).
caption Optional caption to be displayed below the image.
full_name The wrestler's full name, if different than name.
weight Weight at which the wrestler most recently wrestled. The infobox will automatically display the appropriate conversion.
  • weight = 234 lb → 234 lb (106 kg)
  • weight = 106 kg → 106 kg (234 lb)
birth_date Date of birth. If the person is living, use {{Birth date and age}}, {{Birth-date and age}}, or {{Birth year and age}}. If deceased, use {{Birth date}} or {{Birth-date}}.
  • {{Birth date and age|1963|8|26}} if born on August 26, 1963
  • {{Birth date and age|1963|8|26|df=yes}} to display birth date as 26 August 1963
birth_place Place of birth: town/city, state/province, country.
death_date Date of death. If the date of birth is known, use {{Death date and age}}, {{Death-date and age}}, or {{Death year and age}}. Otherwise, use {{Death date}} or {{Death-date}}.
  • {{Death date and age|1993|2|24|1941|4|12}} if died on February 24, 1993 and born on April 12, 1941
  • {{Death date and age|1993|2|24|1941|4|12|df=yes}} to display death date as 24 February 1993
death_place Place of death: town/city, state/province, country.
high school Name of high school attended by wrestler.
state champion Number of state championships won.
college Name of college attended by wrestler.
Prep National Championships Number of Prep National Championships won.
ncaa championships Number of NCAA national championships won.
olympic team Olympic team.
olympic medal Olympic medal.
status Current status of the wrestler. (ex. if the wrestler is deceased, then insert deceased. If the wrestler is living then insert the current their current title like "coach" or "retired".)

If set to no, the medals table is hidden (collapsed) and will only be shown (expanded) if the "show" link is selected. Otherwise, the medals template is displayed.

Microformat

The HTML markup produced by this template includes an hCard microformat, which makes the person's details parsable by computers, either acting automatically to catalogue articles across Wikipedia or via a browser tool operated by a reader, to (for example) add the subject to an address book or database. Sub-templates

Date-of-birth ("bday") information will only be included in the microformat if {{birth date}}, or {{birth date and age}} are used in the infobox. (Do not use these if the date is before 1583). Be cautious about using these if the person is still living, per WP:DOB.

To include a URL, use {{URL}}.

Please do not remove instances of these sub-templates.
