Purpose[edit]
A nothogenus name (the name of a hybrid between two plant genera) is slightly awkward to format: the hybrid symbol × should not be italicized, but the genus name should; no line break should appear between the × and the genus name. This template simplifies formatting such names.
Usage[edit]
There are two unnamed parameters:
- the genus name
- leave blank for no wikilink, set to
linkedto wikilink
Examples:
- {{Nothogenus|Gonimara}} → × Gonimara
- {{Nothogenus|Gonimara|linked}} → × Gonimara
