Template:Tfd relisted/doc

Usage

When using this template to relist a TfD discussion:

1. Open the discussion section for editing
2. Copy the original discussion, including the section header
3. Open today's TfD log page for editing in a new browser tab
4. Paste the discussion at the top of the list
5. Place {{subst:relist}} at the bottom of the discussion (see Template:Relist for usage specifics)
6. Note in the edit summary that you are relisting the discussion
7. Save today's TfD log page
8. Replace the original discussion with {{subst:tfd relisted|Name of discussion section heading}} (do not remove the section heading of the old discussion)
9. Note in the edit summary that you have relisted the discussion, and consider linking to the new log page
10. Save the original discussion section

Notes

• In all cases where the page name is omitted, the page for the current date is assumed.
• If the section heading is omitted, the template fails gracefully (i.e., the link simply points at the log page with no trailing '#').
