Template:Welcome de-orphaner

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This template is meant to be substed on the talk pages of users who have recently added themselves to the participant list of WikiProject Orphanage. To welcome users who you've seen de-orphaning, but haven't yet added themselves, you can use Template:Welcome de-orphaner2.

Hello, Fellow de-orphaner!

[edit]

I noticed you added your name to the list of participants in WikiProject Orphanage. We really appreciate your help! The first things you could do to get started with us are:

  1. Read the Wikipedia:Orphan page, especially the section marked "Criteria". The page contains a lot of good advice to get you started, as well as the standard procedures we are using to de-orphan articles.
  2. Look at {{Orphan}}, and {{Multiple issues}} closely and make sure you know how to use them correctly.
  3. Keep de-orphaning! Category:Orphaned articles contains all orphaned articles organized by month and there is a large backlog we need to clear out so we appreciate any help we can get.

Of course, you may have already known all of this, in which case sorry for the spam. Either way, let me know if there's any way I can help you contribute more to the project!
