Template:Wikilink inline/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This template lets you easily cite Wikipedia pages (usually policy or guideline shortcuts) without shouting. By default, the template will display your argument in italics and without the prefix (WP:, MOS:, etc.), and link to the all-caps version of the argument, with spaces removed. If no prefix is specified, the template assumes a WP: prefix (unless a third argument is present; see below).

The presence of a second argument will cause the template to not italicize your argument (for using shortcut phrases as words rather than shortcuts). The presence of a third argument will turn off all pre-processing of the link (removing spaces, inferring WP: prefix, making all-caps), and can be used to directly link to article pages or pages without prefixes.
