Better length icon[edit]

I don't like the length icons based on {{alr}}, very nonintuitive. I'd like instead, a vertical progress bar, that would start with 1k stubs at the bottom, and maybe about 2/3 of the way up would mark the threshold size for "could be split" at WP:SIZESPLIT, and then 4/5 of the way up, the threshold for "definitely should be split". The "mercury"/progress ink should be green at the bottom, should switch to amber after the "probably split" point, and should be red when it passes the definitely split point. The "bulb" can go, and rounding, if any, should be minimal; it's just a vertical length indicator based on page size as a proportion of the split thresholds. Not sure what name to give it. As far as techniques, see {{Thermometer}} and {{Progress bar}}, but the latter is way too complex for what we need. Height should be similar to the other icons, and should have a thin solid border to show how much is left. Mathglot (talk) 03:49, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Working on Draft:Article length bar, which is kinda working, but displays as a block element when it should display as block-inline. Don't know why yet. Mathglot (talk) 09:56, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
