Recoveries[edit]

Recoveries are supposed to be blue, not yellow! 2601:197:C181:B70:C83:F88D:14EC:CE6F (talk) 18:59, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly. EphemeralErrata, what you are doing with alttot1 is exactly what would be done if you wrote the recoveries in the proper field. The other classifications would only make sense if you were to split or have different classifications, which you are only doing inside comments right now. It was like this when I started editing this chart. I was ready to swap it into normal order, but: There's a talk page someplace with a complaint about the standard order on the medical cases chart. The person wants to see one edge of the active cases lined up to better gauge how that value changes over time. Putting active cases in the middle mostly accomplishes that. I am amenable to changing to the standard order. EphemeralErrata (talk) 07:49, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The change to non-standard order was made by an IP editor at the end of May, about a month before I started editing this chart. Too bad we can't bring that person into this discussion. EphemeralErrata (talk) 08:01, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@EphemeralErrata: Reworking the order of the bars is a known wish of the community. It's in the template's To Do list, so it will likely be done some time in the future. Alexiscoutinho (talk) 13:19, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not set on this order. I'd prefer this chart to be the same as the 11ish other charts I edit. However, another editor went to some effort to put them in this order, and their opinion is just as worthy as mine. This order does work to keep the salmon segments all lined up! But there's a better way to do that - which I mentioned on the template's talk page. EphemeralErrata (talk) 14:53, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
