Expansion[edit]

  • I've added categories and included more entries. However, I would like to stress that given this is a template for Canadian art, we need to ensure that all new entries represent topics that are historically important to Canada as a whole. While some topics may be notable, they may not reach the scope of historical and/or national importance. As such, I haven't included individual artists as that would be too big a category. Collectives and groups should be limited to historical groups with articles containing solid sources. I don't wish to be the gatekeeper of this template but I also don't want it to be a dumping ground for any artist's group. I think we can agree historical and national in scope are solid criteria for inclusion. I will be referring to the talk page when editing the template, so hopefully all editors can be on the same page. freshacconci (✉) 13:28, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • I also did not include individual works of art but this may be a useful category, for iconic works of historical importance. freshacconci (✉) 13:30, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
