Coord

[edit]

My addition, to the documentation of a reference to {{Coord}} has been reverted by two editors, coincidentally both of whom I have an ongoing dispute with elsewhere. no credible reason for its removal has been given, and it's an obvious alternative for editors who may be thinking of using this template to link to maps where a generic coordinate link would be more appropriate. I contend that it should be restored. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Andy's talk; Andy's edits 23:54, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Title

[edit]

The title should match what Bing titles its webpages. If editors have used title constructions that don't follow that, they should bear the responsibility to fix the errors, rather than make the template generate titles that aren't accurate citations. Imzadi 1979  02:59, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Here are the first five road-related links from the first five road transclusions, and the only title they have is "Bing Maps" (save for the fifth, which has the site's default Bing Maps - Driving Directions, etc. title). I fail to see how having the title after "Bing Maps" is "inaccurate". – TMF 03:44, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The M$ has changed things since the last times I felt a need to use their website. When the template was created, they titled their webpages with "Map of X – Bing Maps". Imzadi 1979  04:29, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
