The party links here are to the national parties for the Conservatives, Labour and the Liberal Democrats (eg for the Conservatives it is Conservative Party (UK). Would it make more sense to link to link to the Scottish organisations of the parties, as this is usually what appears on the ballot paper in Scotland (ie Scottish Conservatives, Scottish Labour Party and Scottish Liberal Democrats)? Removal of MEPs/Euro-Constituency details from this template

[edit]

As the UK has now formally left the EU the Scotland European constituency no longer exists and all the sitting MEPs ceased to be MEPs on 31 January 2020 when the UK left. Therefore, I have removed theScotland European constituency section of the template that gave details of the party affiliation and make up of the Members of the European Parliament for Scotland, as it is no longer current information. Rutherglen and Hamilton West

[edit]

As Margaret Ferrier has had the SNP whip suspended and is now an Independent, I have moved Rutherglen and Hamilton West in the template to reflect this, as has happened in similar instances in the past. Dunarc (talk) 19:22, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
