FNs are not neighbourhoods

[edit]

There is no article on the Tsawwassen Indian Reserve as such, which might belong here, even though it's outside municipal jurisdition. I took out the First Nations government links because govenrments are not neighbourhoods, and the Musqueam do not even ahve reserves in Delta, much less any community; if they were to be included so should the Kwantlen, Lummi, and Katzie, even the Tsartlip and Clallam, all of whom were active on the South Arm and this is also likely true of the Semiahmoo and Nooksack. There are North Delta neighbourhoods yet to be article'd up anyway. In general FNs should not be categorized within municipalities; they are not part of them and do not themselves associate with the municipality around them, in constitution/legality terms, though some work with municipalities (but not always....).Skookum1 (talk) 23:49, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If articles are ever made on the Indian Reserves within the Corporation of Delta, they could conceivably be included; but governments are not neighbhourhoods; nor are ethnicities....Skookum1 (talk) 23:51, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Those lands are now fee-simple since the Tsawwassen Treaty, and I've created Tsawwassen Indian Reserve but that's obsolete as a name, not sure what the proper name is now. Also please note Tsawwassen Beach - "Tsawwassen Beach". BC Geographical Names., which I'm not sure is the same as Tsatsu Shores or not; unless it refers to non-IR lands south of the former TIR....Skookum1 (talk) 17:25, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
