Lead too long[edit]

Impressive piece of work, Abyssal. May I suggest that you add an additional heading (maybe 'Background') somewhere near the beginning, so that we don't have a five-paragraph lead? That may involve a bit of restructuring, so that what remains as lead forms a true summary of this article. Much appreciated. Schwede66 17:59, 11 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Honestly I don't think much can be removed from the lead without undermining it. Abyssal (talk) 23:45, 11 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That's not my understanding of how to interpret WP:LEADLENGTH. The Rambling Man I'd be interested in your views on the matter. Schwede66 05:43, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, five paras contravenes WP:LEAD. Perhaps it's indicative that the article as a whole is too long and trying to cover too much. I'm also curious if the hyphen in the title should actually be an en-dash, but that's a different issue. The Rambling Man (talk) 05:55, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've fixed the endash issue. Thanks for spotting that. Schwede66 06:28, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've trimmed the lead up a bit. What do you think? Abyssal (talk) 16:13, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
