Diction: URLs isn't the correct word

[edit]

Shouldn't "use when your message includes certain URLs" be changed to "use when your message includes certain HTML coding"? For example, using this template with my signature requires the 2= code, but there isn't any URL in my sig. I think the term is incorrectly used anyway. – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 20:43, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

When I wrote the template documentation, the only situation I thought of where 2= would be used was when putting diffs in the message, which was a problem I used to run into a lot. For instance, showing a diff of another page where the discussion had relocated or resolved. Anyway, I think the documentation should read something like "if your message or signature has the = character". —/Mendaliv//Δ's/ 19:50, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I have several = characters in my signature, not sure why I wasn't paying attention before. I agree with your suggested phrasing, which works perfectly. – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 20:40, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK, made the change. —/Mendaliv//Δ's/ 13:23, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
