Template-protected edit request on 6 June 2020[edit]

Please replace the contents of the page with

{{Help:Introduction/editnotice}}
{{Simple help page}}

This switches the current notice to a template (so that it can be edited for all the Help:Intro pages simultaneously) and adds an edit notice to help fight WP:CREEP. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 04:47, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Sdkb: seems to be a problem with the first template. I've created Template:Help:Introduction/editnotice/sandbox to show that it renders as a red link for some reason. I'll work on this. P.I. Ellsworth  ed. put'r there 13:24, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Sdkb: okay the "Help:" is what I think is causing this. The decoder looks for a page named "Help:Introduction/editnotice" to transclude, because "Help:" is a namespace designation. Your new template will have to be renamed to avoid this technical restriction – perhaps something like:

@Paine Ellsworth: Oops, I should've noticed that! Thanks for going through the list and making the tweak; I've turned Help:Introduction/editnotice into a redirect in case any were missed (this also means that the template itself could now be moved back to the original location if we want to keep it nested under Help:Introduction, but I don't think there's any big need for that currently). {{u|Sdkb}}talk 16:54, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
