VPT has been overrun by VE issues, for which there is already a separate group of pages that is supposed to be used. I request a big, bold, red notice to the effect that if you are posting about Visual Editor, you should instead go to WP:VE/F. —[AlanM1(talk)]— 14:58, 15 July 2013 (UTC)
- @AlanM1: Sounds reasonable. Could you post the exact code you want to go on the edit notice page? I'm not feeling very creative this morning. :P — Mr. Stradivarius ♪ talk ♪ 21:47, 15 July 2013 (UTC)
- Not done for now: @AlanM1: Please reactivate the edit request when you have the code to put in the edit notice. (Or even just the text you want and roughly how you you would like it formatted should be fine.) Best — Mr. Stradivarius ♪ talk ♪ 10:40, 17 July 2013 (UTC)
How about:

- I'm going to attempt to make this use Template:Editnotice before adding it. Also do you have any particular amount of time in mind that you want this to show for? I imagine that leaving this notice up indefinitely would be inappropriate. FunPika 20:07, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
- Done I've made one that looks roughly the same using {{editnotice}}, and I've set the expiry for 1 November. If necessary, we can always extend the expiry date later. — Mr. Stradivarius ♪ talk ♪ 22:00, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
Potentially confusing “script error”
[edit]I came here because the line
- If you are here to report an error message similar to
Script error: The module returned a value. It is supposed to return an export table.
please try purging the affected page first.
made me think something was wrong with the notice. If this is as confusing as I think it is, can something be done about this? —67.14.236.50 (talk) 23:15, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

I think it is time to remove that big scary red attention flagpole message from this editnotice again. It has served it's purprose it's way over 30 days ago. Most pages that still output this, probably have issues that you can't fix with a simple purge, they have an actual authoring problem. —TheDJ (talk • contribs) 18:50, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
- Right, I have removed it.[1] I did a Google site search and the error message was already gone from all pages I checked. PrimeHunter (talk) 19:24, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
