Creation[edit]

A timeline template for Eurovision Young Dancers competitions. I created this since the articles seemed to be lacking one. I imitated the design from {{Olympic Games}}. – Mysid (talk) 13:04, 8 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Template standardisation plans[edit]

Hello,

I have put together some plans to standardise the template structure in Eurovision articles, as a variety of different naming styles are currently used. See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Eurovision#Standardising templates for details. CT Cooper · talk 15:31, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Bidirectional[edit]

@Robsinden: not sure why you've taken Eurovision Young Musicians off the above section. Young Musicians and Young Dancers are alternate contests. Young Dancers takes place every two-years, in parallel to its successful counterpart, Eurovision Young Musicians (another of the EBU's biennial youth competitions). They're not directly related to one another as far as I can see, just similar contests. It would not be appropriate to put this template on Eurovision Young Musicians or vice versa. They might both belong on a navbox for {{Eurovision events}}, however. --Rob Sinden (talk) 13:54, 13 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Robsinden: on the contrary, they are parallel competitions, albeit one is musical and the other dancing. Even their origins state both competitions are counterparts. Similar I suppose to the Olympics having Summer, Winter, and Paralympic counterparts. Wes Mouse  T@lk 16:13, 13 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but you wouldn't want the Summer Olympics navbox on the Winter Olympics article or vice versa. They would both belong on an umbrella navbox, but not on the competition specific ones. --Rob Sinden (talk) 07:53, 14 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
