GPay app discontinuation

[edit]

GPay (app) is only being discontinued in one nation: America. Wouldn't be accurate to list it as fully dead. @InfiniteNexus:AppGoo0011 (talk) 22:33, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Good point, I'll adjust it. I was about to ping you here anyway to ask whether I made any errors before I move this to the mainspace. InfiniteNexus (talk) 22:38, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
👍🏻
Also, it might be nice to maybe add a note somewhere that Google Pay is still active as a service for online & in-store payments. The 2018 Google Pay app and the modern service share the same logo, so it might be confusing. AppGoo0011 (talk) 22:41, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I tried putting it in the footer because it's a system/infrastructure and not an app/service. InfiniteNexus (talk) 22:44, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@InfiniteNexus: There's one missing logo. The rounder Wallet logo was from 2011-2015 (Wallet app, until Android Pay launch). The squarish Wallet logo was from 2015-2018 (P2P app, until Google Pay launch). AppGoo0011 (talk) 23:20, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
But did anything change except the logo? I don't think we should be simply documenting logo design changes. InfiniteNexus (talk) 00:55, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. 2011 Wallet was a wallet app. 2015 Wallet was a P2P app. AppGoo0011 (talk) 02:08, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Clearly it's been a minute for me. I'll look into it. InfiniteNexus (talk) 00:39, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Adjusted. InfiniteNexus (talk) 00:25, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
