Images[edit]

I'm intrigued by your notion of having a picture from each Congress in its infobox. I feel that we should strive to have it pertain to both houses, but I am having trouble thinking of how to get free pictures that fit the bill. Are there free images available for the State of the Union, which would give us the President of the Senate and Speaker of the House in one place? Just an idea. -Rrius (talk) 04:07, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm not crazy about creating a big project out of it. It's just that the standard default picture in the infobox is a 2007 photo of the capitol. Not a bad default, but when there's a better picture I'd prefer to use it. —Markles 13:02, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Senate sits in the Senate chamber for an official photograph at the start of a new Congress (incidentally, that's the only photograph permitted in the chamber). Not sure about the House. With only 98 senators, I doubt the official photo for the 111th will take place anytime soon. If we could find official photos for both Houses, that could work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dcmacnut (talkcontribs) 18:56, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't mean to suggest making a big production out of it. I was looking at more as a long term, when-someone-has-the-time sort of thing. -Rrius (talk) 00:09, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Italics for Congresses that Don't Exist yet[edit]

Generally, it helps will articles for things that are expected to exist and be notable for things like future elections, in the infobox they get italicized. This is not possible to my knowledge for this userbox. Can someone help me out here?―Matthew J. Long -Talk- 18:44, 18 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
