Champions header[edit]

Should we change "Champions" to "Finalists"? First of all that section includes the runner-up as well as the winner, but also most events only have one champion so pluralising it doesn't make sense for single events. "Finalists" would be plural for both single and team events. Betty Logan (talk) 14:27, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If we change it, than "Final" would be better, as the score is also present. But than, what should we do with the "defending champion" parameter? The name "Champions" is a left behind, as these part of the template containd only defending champion & current champion. Armbrust Talk Contribs 14:46, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If we keep the score then I agree "Final" is better. Is the "defending champion" parameter used on any of the articles? If it isn't we could consider scrapping it, since the defending champion is more relevant to the previous event anyway. Alternatively we could just move the parameter out of that section, so it goes "Highest break" - "Defending champion" - Final - "Champion" - "Runner up" - Score. The "Defending champion" is used as long as the tournament has not ended. Moving this parameter out and rename the section to "Final" is the best solution. Armbrust Talk Contribs 20:41, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Have made the modifications. You can see at 2010 World Open (snooker). Armbrust Talk Contribs 21:23, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It makes much better sense now. Betty Logan (talk) 23:11, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
