This is a template for adding information about a liberty ship that was named in honor of the subject of an article.
UsageTyping this: {{libship honor|name=Jeremiah O'Brien|type=his}} where:
would result in this: In World War II, the United States liberty ship SS Jeremiah O'Brien was named in his honor. If you are adding to a list of other honors, simply add an asterisk in front of the template and you're ready to go. Liberty ship names can be found at List of Liberty ships |
Problem[edit]
Does not work if the destination article has a different naming standard than "SS Name". For example USNS George W. Goethals (T-AP-182). — MrDolomite • Talk 14:16, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
