Stub templates should NEVER EVER be placed within other templates. Firstly, it creates server difficulties. Secondly it creates serious problems for stub sorting. Thirdly, it ends up with stub templates being used indiscriminately on any articles containing the template, whether they are stubs or not. Fourthly, it makes it a tougher task to find the initial page that needs editing if an incorrect stub template is placed (as happened here - {{alabama-geo-stub}} would have been far more appropriate than the redirect {{geography-stub}}). Fifthly - in this particular case - it is intended to apply to list articles, which are normally given {{listdev}} rather than a form of geo-stub anyway.
