Prajnaparamita?

[edit]

While the Lotus Sutra most certainly mentions the concept, I would suggest leaving out "Prajnaparamita" from the "Concepts" subsection of this template. My reasons for this is that the article on Prajnaparamita mentions nothing of the Lotus Sutra, but only that of the "Perfection of Wisdom" sutras: Aṣṭasāhasrikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra, Mahaprajñāpāramitā Sūtra (大般若波羅蜜多經), Vajracchedikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra (金剛般若波羅蜜多經), Prajñāpāramitā Hṛdaya (般若波羅蜜多心經). Likewise, the Lotus Sutra article says nothing of Prajnaparamita. Until the articles elaborate on the connection between Perfection of Wisdom and the Lotus Sutra, the "Prajnaparamita" should be deleted from this template. In addition, "prajñā pāramitā" is one of the six pāramitās that the Lotus Sutra names, but isn't devoted to one of these perfections over another. The emphasis and central concept of the this sutra is on skillful means (upaya), not necessarily on the perfection of wisdom as a lone concept. -Ano-User (talk) 15:36, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm... You make some good points, although there are some sections of the Lotus Sutra in which Prajnaparamita is special amongst the various paramitas. Let's leave it off for now, especially since there is nothing special for the Lotus Sutra on the Prajnaparamita page. Tengu800 (talk) 00:22, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
