Template talk:Mosdab

Page contents not supported in other languages.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This template is used to leave a message on the talk page of a user who has "improved" a disambiguation page without being aware of the disambiguation style guide.

Parameters have the following meanings

  • Page reference (one of the two is required)
    • page -- name of disambiguation page in question
    • dbpage -- will add " (disambiguation)" to the name
  • Parameters governing specific points to be made:
    • onelive -- only one live link
    • nopipes -- no piped links
    • sequence -- ordering the references
    • all -- all three messages
  • You
    • me -- name of person leaving the message
    • fixed -- if you've already straightened out the page

As with similar user talk templates, this should be subst'ed.

Examples:

{{subst:Mosdab|page=John Russell}}

Thank you for your work on John Russell. Unfortunately, disambiguation pages do not follow the same stylistic rules as normal pages. Please see the disambiguation style guide for more information. If you have any questions not answered there, drop me a note or try the help desk. I hope you will go ahead and bring John Russell into line with the guidelines, but if you don't have a chance to get to it, or you're not clear on what to do, I'm sure someone else will.

{{subst:Mosdab|dbpage=BBC|me=Matchups|all=yes|fixed=yes}}

Thank you for your work on BBC (disambiguation). Unfortunately, disambiguation pages do not follow the same stylistic rules as normal pages. In particular,

  • there should be only one live link per entry.
  • entries should show their true names and not use piped links.
  • alphabetical or chronological order is good, but when there is a small number of "most important" items, those should be placed at the top.

Please see the disambiguation style guide for more information. If you have any questions not answered there, drop me a note or try the help desk. By the way, I have already brought BBC (disambiguation) into line with the guidelines.
