Hall of Fame?

[edit]

Is there any you could add a hall of fame parameter? so this template could be used in older drafts? Michael Jester (talk) 06:12, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Positions

[edit]

Can someone make a list of positions that can be inputted and possibly add positions like wingback, that can be used in older drafts. User:DoctorGiants 16:52, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

For a full list of positions that can be used in this template, please see Template:AmFootball positions which is used to parse the position entered. Any additions (e.g. wingback) would need to be make to the AmFootball positions template. — DeeJayK (talk) 21:07, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Pacific-xx changes

[edit]

Pacific-12 Conference is now Pac-12 Conference per Talk:Pac-12 Conference. After extensive edits, this template is the primary source of inbound links to the prior article location. And yes, explicitly WP:NOTBROKEN due to the current redirect behaviors.

Seen below are current template outputs and requested contextual changes:

College/Conf Years Draft Years Current Output Desired Output Link example Usage Example
Dec 1915-Jun 1959 1916-1959 Unknown [[Pacific Coast Conference|PCC]] PCC Unknown

Hi, UW Dawgs. You're barking up the wrong tree to some extent in that all of the conference links coming from this template are actually created by {{Cfb conf}} based on the college and year. It should be a relatively straightforward matter of doing a search and replace in that template to address the issues you're concerned about. — DeeJayK (talk) 19:26, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the redirect! That markup seems to hide the relationship pretty well, ex 2010 NFL draft.
{{NFLDraft-row| draftyear=2010 | round=1|picknum=10|team=Jacksonville Jaguars|first=Tyson|last=Alualu|dab=|position=Defensive tackle|collegeyear=2009|college=University of California, Berkeley|collegeteam=California Golden Bears|collegelink=California|cfb page exists=yes}}

I agree that it's not obvious from the template unless you dig into the code. That said, the documentation does point the user to {{Cfb conf}} for the conference links under the "Other templates used" section. Good luck, — DeeJayK (talk) 20:25, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Could somebody help add a link to the list of second overall National Football League draft picks, just like how it's done for first overall picks? I tried to do it myself recently but it broke the table. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 00:56, 20 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Eagles247 perhaps you could take a look? ~ Dissident93 (talk) 09:41, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Dissident93: done. Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:48, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Eagles247 Thanks, I can see why mine wasn't working correctly now as it was missing a closing bracket. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 04:18, 28 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
