Named ref

[edit]

The {{#tag:ref|}} section should have a unique name= parameter to make it a named reference so that we can consolidate duplicate references. It doesn't have one now, so there's no way to reuse the cite anywhere within the article. Some articles such as National Register of Historic Places listings in South Carolina cite the same info, but there's no way to consolidate it that I can see (see refs # 2 and 5). Maybe that paragraph needs to be re-worded/cited differently, but definitely could see the need to reuse the reference given in an article. Or else, if you know how to reuse/consolidate the cite without the parameter, please let me know. Thank you. -- JoannaSerah (talk) 14:14, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New URL

[edit]

The URL to the National Park Service weekly updates has changed. It is now https://www.nps.gov/subjects/nationalregister/weekly-list.htm . Can this template be edited to reflect this? Magic♪piano 02:34, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Magicpiano, there are 2 different links in the template. Please clarify. Cabayi (talk) 06:49, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I believe they should both be changed to the new link. The www.cr.nps.gov link has been out of date (and redirecting to the www.nps.gov/history/nr link) for some time. Magic♪piano 12:21, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
