replace the roundel "Maple Leaf (from roundel).svg" with a more modern roundel "Flag of Canada (leaf).svg" (both in Wikimedia)

Not done for now: Such a change requires some discussion, or at least several days passing with no one commenting on your proposal.— Godsy (TALKCONT) 10:19, 16 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • No icon as per WP:ICONDECORATION--Moxy (talk) 23:53, 16 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Remove per Moxy. There's no inherent requirement that the maple leaf icon used in a template or navbox exactly match the shape of the current national flag — for one thing, it's not meant as a representation of the flag per se, but just of a maple leaf (which also has some informal status as a symbol of Canada independently of its representation on the flag.) In fact, the slightly different rendition of a maple leaf in the existing icon was done precisely to avoid any potential WP:COPYRIGHT issues that might pertain to an icon that more precisely matched the flag. And for two, Moxy is correct that WP:ICONDECORATION actually deprecates using an icon for purely decorative, rather than navigational or aid-to-comprehension purposes — but the use of an icon here is purely decorative in nature, and should accordingly be removed rather than simply being replaced with a different version. is 1965 vintage. The later roundel for instance is
I don't know you mean. Actual I much prefer a real flag but just the maple leaf would do. But taking the use of the 1968 RCAF roundel is not a good idea. Or are you mean that everything Canadian is 50 years out of days? 213.205.251.75 (talk) 09:10, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to navbox

[edit]

after changes to module:navbox, the old method for making the red borders was no longer working (they removed the gutter rows), so I have updated this template to use box shadows instead. please let me know if you see any problems. all the examples on the doc page appear to be working (for me). [edit]

@Frietjes: Hallo, the related projects in the bottom of the box are now stacked (and not on the same line). E.g. see New Brunswick or Studio Building (Toronto). Christian75 (talk) 12:16, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Christian75, should be fixed now. for some reason, in all of the examples there was |bodyclass=hlist, so I didn't notice the problem in the testcases. but, it's now fixed. Frietjes (talk) 13:04, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

restore function

[edit]

Restored because subsections were collapsed.--Moxy (talk) 04:54, 25 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

that totally broke the template, so I have reverted the change. Frietjes (talk) 16:05, 25 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
What? Now it all messed up again.? --Moxy (talk) 16:33, 25 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
