Should this be "Won't do" - by analogy to "Won't fix"? Rich Farmbrough, 14:40, 22 April 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Incivility

[edit]

Isn't this rather incivil, and who can speak for all future Wikipedia editors and say something WILL NOT BE DONE. Surely "not done" with an appropriate context-specific comment would be more suitable. Compare:

Can someone pls unprotect the main page. --User:Foo 00:00, 1 January 2000

☒N Not done and will not be done. --User:Bar 00:05, 1 January 2000

Can someone pls unprotect the main page. --User:Foo 00:00, 1 January 2000

Not done it's been previously agreed it will stay protected. --User:Bar 00:05, 1 January 2000

In fact I can't think of an instance where this template would be appropriate.--Pontificalibus (talk) 12:08, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Having looked at its minimal usage, I'm tempted to simply redirect this to {{Not done}}, anyone disagree? Alternatively it could be reworded to say "Not done and not likely to be done".--Pontificalibus (talk) 12:11, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done This was bugging me so I just went ahead and reworded it.--Pontificalibus (talk) 13:30, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

I'm not proficient with templates so I can't make the following change myself. Currently, User:Foo and User:Bar link to real usernames, and the latter is a registered user. Could someone redirect both username links to User:Example, as is standard practice on project pages? 2605:6000:E963:6A00:919B:487F:8C2F:1964 (talk) 15:10, 8 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
