I don't mean to nitpick, but what is the author's rationale for saying "most people." Most academics, no doubt, but "most people" is very vague and I doubt there is evidence to back it up. Wickedjacob (talk) 16:09, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You're correct, but we have to defer to the article and Noah's Ark says "people". And you're probably really only thinking of the US (where surveys show something like 45% of the population believe in the literal truth of the Bible), but worldwide I'll wager that the vast majority disagrees. Note that there are three references to back up that statement, including one from an evangelical Christian geologist, although the latest one dates from 1995. howcheng {chat} 16:45, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
