Still having problems[edit]

-- see Oregon State Senate. Are you guys sure you reverted to the proper version? -Pete (talk) 20:46, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{editprotected}} Could an administrator please put the protected icon in this recently protected template within <noinclude> tags? --Millbrooky (talk) 20:55, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done, probably still stuck in the job queue as well. Cheers. lifebaka (talk - contribs) 21:05, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{editprotected}} Please add iw sv:Mall:Party shading/Democratic. Vints (talk) 19:48, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Category change[edit]

{{editprotected}} Could someone change the category to Category:United States Democratic Party color templates. The old category spelled "colour" is depreciated. Thanks.DCmacnut<> 20:35, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Done although you could have done it ;-). The categories are on the templates Documentation page ([1]). - Rjd0060 (talk) 15:48, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Template-protected edit request on 11 August 2015[edit]

I would like the color code for this template to be reverted to its previous color #B0CEFF. While the new color is the exact color presently used by the party in their logos and materials, it plays very poorly when in use. The color is much darker than the previous, and with dark blue or black text behind it, it makes those things which it highlights very difficult to read. Only a white text on the new background is easy to read. Reverting it back to the light blue color, above mentioned, will restore coding which has been used for a long while, a color which works. Seconded! The current color is not as fluid with the text as the previous color. Additionally, I would like to state my disappointment at the unilateral nature of the change. Williw (talk) 22:02, 11 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Agree, at least until a discussion can take place, and consensus reached on either, 1) keeping the old color, or 2) coming up with a new "blue" that achieves consensus. Note: however, that the actual template that was edited to change the "blue" color was {{Democratic Party (United States)/meta/color}}, not this one.. --IJBall (contribstalk) 23:27, 11 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Reset to "no" because the question of shading is different than that of the meta color. The difference is jarring compared to the original and it simply doesn't flow. Nevermore27 (talk) 01:39, 12 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What is it that you would like to be changed here? Alakzi (talk) 01:46, 12 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The shading should be reset to #B0CEFF like the OP requested. This current shading is garish and hard to read compared to the original. For example (from the United States Senate Committee on Armed Services):
Minority

Compared to:

Minority

The current shading is just bad. Nevermore27 (talk) 02:12, 12 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Done There was no consensus for the change, so I have reverted it. TrueCRaysball | #RaysUp 03:21, 12 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What happened to county presidential tables?[edit]

This template, and Party shading/Republican too, don't display on the presidential results tables which are shown on pretty much every US county article, but they used to. I can't figure out any reason for this. Thoughts on how to fix it? MB298 (talk) 23:41, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Template-protected edit request on 17 November 2019[edit]

Please change background:<color> to background-color:<color> in all these templates: This is to fix wikitable sortable. Tholme (talk) 23:33, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Whoever just changed the hex code made all hyperlinks virtually unreadable. Please revert to previous hex code. Svenskbygderna (talk) 18:47, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Accessibility[edit]

This template is often used with text that contains blue links, but it currently does not provide enough contrast to the blue links as defined in the manual of style for accessibility, as the new default Vector 2022 skin uses a lighter link color than the previous default skin. I would like to propose changing the color as follows:

Color code Link contrast ratio WCAG level Sample
Current color B0CEFF 3.35 A Democratic
Proposed new color DCEEFF 4.52 AA Democratic
