The link for the UEMOA is located incorrectly. The clickable portion is set to the right of the Ivory Coast flag, instead of over the acronym below that flag. However I'm not sure how the imagemap syntax works. —Akrabbimtalk 17:02, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've taken care of that. Pipping (talk) 17:10, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Morocco

[edit]

Morocco has been readmitted into the African Union, and the diagram should be changed to reflect that. I would do it myself, but it looks too intimidating. WBritten (talk) 15:29, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

And South Sudan has entered the EAC, maybe both changes can be taken into account simultaneously? DeKosmopoliet (talk) 21:02, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've tried my hand at creating a new image, but can't figure out how the y-axis boxes are calculated. New image with old co-ordinates at User:Chipmunkdavis/Sandbox. The images that need retargeting are: Cape Verde, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Mauritania, Libya, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania, "COMESA", "AFRICAN UNION", "EAC", "UMA", and "CEN-SAD". CMD (talk) 13:11, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Those rect coordinates are specifying the x-y coordinates of the top left and bottom right corner of the hyperlink box.
You should be able to use a tool like this to graphically measure the coordinates. TDL (talk) 15:50, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the x-coordinates I could figure out, but for some reason I couldn't figure out the y coordinates. Maybe me computer scaled them differently? Anyway, I could not get the tool to work. Anyone else is free to edit that sandbox if they can. CMD (talk) 01:15, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

WBritten, WBritten, TDL: I believe User:Chipmunkdavis/Sandbox works. If you could check it, that would be appreciated. My only issue is that Gambia's flag is not appearing on my screen, instead it's covered by a black square. It doesn't look like that on my computer, only when I upload it. Nonetheless, that's a graphics issue, the map co-ordinates work either way. CMD (talk) 05:09, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yup, it works. Good job! WBritten (talk) 13:25, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I see a black Gambian flag as well. I remember having this issue in the past. Is there a translucent layer over top of the flag that gives it the 3D perspective? I remember something about those layers getting separated causing problems. TDL (talk) 14:49, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Strangely, it's only the thumbnails that are showing a black flag. The full image looks fine: [1]. I'm sure someone at Wikipedia:Graphics Lab/Map workshop would know why. TDL (talk) 15:02, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I wonder how difficult it would be to generate such Euler diagrams from a file that specifies which unions a country belongs to. There are naturally two parts to this: The mathematical problem and then having a portable, open tool that solves it. Pipping (talk) 00:37, 12 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Congo, Democratic Republic of and Somali joined EAC

But when to update this diagram? Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 22:41, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
