Can anyone explain how this works?
[edit]I've noticed that this template is missing a period in the article. My edit was reverted, but the period is still there. Also, why is this template even used? Why not cite the reference in a usual way?--Adûnâi (talk) 01:15, 27 April 2017 (UTC)
- As far as I am concerned, there are too many periods in Truskavets, currently it gives .).. Concerning the template, it is used in several thousands articles, and needed in case the reference changes (for instance, moved to a different url), which happened before.--Ymblanter (talk) 07:09, 27 April 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for the explanation! But there should be a period after the parenthesis and before the reference, as it's the end of the sentence. I wonder how it can be adjusted if the template itself doesn't have different versions depending on the position.--Adûnâi (talk) 15:15, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
- Why do you say it should be two periods? Is this written somewhere in WP:MOS? To be honest, I copied the template from one of the templates on Russian censusses, nobody complained in twn years.--Ymblanter (talk) 15:47, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
- Btw I am currently using {{Ua-pop-est2015}}, and, since the extimates come every year, will try to update to later years. The grammar is the same in all templates.--Ymblanter (talk) 07:10, 27 April 2017 (UTC)
