I reckon that a volunteer in a voluntary organisation is considered to be a fair use of of the logo of that organisation. After all no-one is going to lose money on this and no-one is going to make money either, so please leave the logo in its rightful place Acmthompson 19:13, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nonfree images are not allowed except on articles. This is a userbox, for user pages, where nonfree images are never allowed. So the image has to be removed. This is not an issue of legal fair use; it's a matter of WP policy about nonfree images. — Carl (CBM · talk) 19:32, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

so who says it's a non-free image anyway?Acmthompson 18:31, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The image description page. The free licenses we accept are public domain, GFDL, and some Creative Commons licenses. Anything else is a nonfree license for our purposes. — Carl (CBM · talk) 18:34, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
